"Al Price, a civil rights activist and the first black Southeast Texan to represent the Beaumont area in the Texas House of Representatives, has died at the age of 81.
Price had been hospitalized at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, suffering from an undisclosed illness, his brother Richard Price told The Enterprise in December."
