"The West Bloomfield community and people nationwide are still grappling with the death on Friday of West Bloomfield resident and best-selling author Jeffrey Zaslow, 53, who died in an auto accident in northern Michigan.
The funeral for Zaslow is 1 p.m. Monday at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, 27375 Bell Rd., Southfield.
According to the Antrim County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle lost control on M-32 and skidded into the path of a truck Friday morning; the car's driver was killed, a dispatcher confirmed. Zaslow had made an appearance at a Petoskey bookstore on Thursday"

Frayne, who died in Toronto from complications stemming from pneumonia, had a career that spanned more than half a century. Many of his colleagues have hailed him as the greatest Canadian sports writer of his generation.
Fellow sports scribe Stephen Brunt, who worked with Frayne when he was at the Globe and Mail, called him a “terrific guy” and “wonderful colleague.”"

"Whitney Houston's ex-husband, Bobby Brown, father of their child, Bobbi Kristina, was reportedly "beside himself" Saturday after hearing that his ex-wife had died.
"He was sobbing, and by the end of the call, I was sobbing, too," a family member told People after Brown called with the news. "He's beside himself right now."
The couple divorced in 2007. Houston was found unresponsive in a room at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday, and despite 20 minutes of CPR was declared dead about 4 p.m."
