"Medical sources say Malawian President Bingu wa Mutharika has died after suffering a heart attack, but there has been no official announcement of his death.
Diplomatic sources say the president, 78, collapsed after falling ill at his home in the capital, Lilongwe, on Thursday.
He was rushed to a local hospital, where sources say he died. However, the Malawian government has yet to issue a statement on the president's condition.

"Giorgio Chinaglia, the Italian striker who found a way to overshadow even the soccer greats Pele and Franz Beckenbauer on some of the famed Cosmos teams of the 1970s and ’80s, died Sunday at his home in Naples, Fla. He was 65.
Chinaglia died of complications of a heart attack, according to his son, Anthony, and numerous reports. Lazio, the Italian club that named Chinaglia the greatest player in its history when it celebrated its 100th anniversary, also announced his death."

"Dr. Leila Denmark, the world's oldest practicing physician when she retired at age 103, died Sunday in Athens, Ga., her family members said. She was 114.
Dr. Denmark became the first resident physician at Henrietta Egleston Hospital for Children in Atlanta when it opened in 1928, said her grandson, Steven Hutcherson of Atlanta. She also admitted the first patient at the hospital, now part of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta."

Ferdinand Alexander Porsche died on Thursday in Salzburg, Austria at age 76, Porsche AG said. No cause was provided.
Porsche, known as FA to his colleagues, was head of the Porsche design studio in the early 1960s when the company developed the 911 model that remains its brand-defining product. The car, now in its seventh version, remains recognizably the same vehicle, with its sloping roofline, long, low hood and prominent headlights.
