"Greek leaders who have been holding crisis talks in Athens have agreed to form a new coalition government, but prime minister George Papandreou will not stay in the top job.
This morning's agreement came after two days of meetings to try and form a government of national unity and followed a meeting between Mr Papandreou and Antonis Samaras, the leader of the country's largest opposition party.
A statement from the office of president Karolos Papoulias said the two sides would meet again on Monday to discuss who would head the coalition government, but that Mr Papandreou would not lead the new administration."
