According to the Associated Press, her family released a statement Thursday saying Summer died and that they “are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continuing legacy.” She was reportedly in Florida at the time of her death. Her cancer diagnosis came a mere 10 months ago and only her husband and children knew, reports Entertainment Tonight.
