CNN New - Egypt's Cabinet submits resignation amid protests, violence, Nov 21, 2011

"Cairo (CNN) -- Egypt's Cabinet offered to resign Monday night, government officials said, as thousands of people gathered again in Cairo to protest the military-led government.
The military leadership accepted the mass resignation soon after the prime minister's office said it was offered, said Lt. Col. Amr Imam, a spokesman for the ruling Supreme Council for the Armed Forces.
But a short time later, a spokesman for Prime Minister Essam Sharaf said that the resignation was not complete. Mohammed Hegazy said around 11 p.m. (4 p.m. ET) that Egypt's ruling military council "is currently in another session with the Cabinet and has not accepted" the Cabinet members' proposed mass resignation "yet.""

Vijay Mallya
"Vijay Mallya met Suman Layak and Geetanjali Shukla so late on November 17 that by the end of the interview the clock had ushered in a new day. The liquor baron sipped red wine and smoked his favourite cigars, lighting up more than one in his ashtray. He pointed out a television-ticker on FDI in airlines - betraying some satisfaction on an otherwise poker-face. At the end of a day full of meetings to salvage Kingfisher Airlines from its difficult position, Mallya moved in to his Hoechst House office at Nariman Point for this interview from the Belvedere Club at the Oberoi. 27-year-old Jose Pimentel, was acting as a "lone wolf", and had been taken into custody on Saturday, according to the Mayor.
The US citizen was allegedly inspired by al-Qaida, but had no affiliation to the terrorist network.
He is accused of having an explosive substance that he planned to use against others and property to terrorize the public.
Mayor Bloomberg said Pimentel was alleged to have undertaken to plot the attacks in protest at continued US presence in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The New York Police Department's Intelligence Division was involved in the arrest."

FIJI LIVE - World powers urge fair trial for Kadhafi son, Nov 21, 2011

"World powers have urged Libya to work with the International Criminal Court and ensure a fair trial for Seif al-Islam, son of slain leader Moamer Kadhafi who was arrested after months on the run.
Seif, wanted by the ICC for crimes against humanity allegedly committed in crushing anti-regime protests, was captured in Libya's far-flung Saharan south early on Saturday in a trap set by fighters of the Zintan brigade.
Despite assurances by Libya's interim leaders of a "fair trial", images that emerged of Kadhafi been beaten and later felled by a bullet to the head when he was captured a month ago sparked a worldwide chorus of calls for Seif to be brought safely to justice.
Russia's special representative for Africa, Mikhail Margelov, clearly articulated the concerns of the international community."

COOK Islands News - Comment sparks controversy at CISNOC, Nov 21, 2011

Sir Geoffrey Henry.
"Members of the Cook Islands Sports and National Olympic Committee (CISNOC) are disgusted and bemused at racial comments made this week by the organisations president and former Prime Minister Sir Geoffrey Henry.
He told Cook Islands Television, in an interview that aired on Wednesday evening, that mainly papaa members voted in support of a motion for CISNOCs executives to resign.
The vote took place at a special general meeting of CISNOC in Takuvaines AOG church hall on Tuesday evening.
In total 19 representatives of national sports federations and island sports associations voted for the executive board members to resign.
They included those voting on behalf of athletics, basketball, rugby league, squash, tennis, touch rugby, cycling, sailing, volleyball, rugby union, canoeing, boxing, table tennis, weight lifting, and cricket as well as the sports associations of SMangaia and Penrhyn.
On television, Sir Geoffrey stated he thought it was unfortunate that CISNOCs membership had played the race card, and that from where he was sitting that night it appeared those in favour of resignations were papaa (Caucasian), while those against the motion were Maori."
