"Bob Anderson, who fought Darth Vader’s light sabre battles and appeared in some of Hollywood’s most famous duelling scenes, has died aged 89.
Former Royal Marine Bob Anderson wielded the light sabre in two of the three original Star Wars films, The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi.
The Olympic fencer, who worked with actors from Errol Flynn to Antonio Banderas during five decades as a sword master, fight director and stunt performer, died early on New Year’s Day at a hospital in West Sussex, the British Academy of Fencing said.
Vader, Star Wars’ intergalactic arch-villain, was voiced by James Earl Jones and played by 6ft 6in former weightlifter David Prowse, but Anderson stepped in during the key fight scenes."

BBC News - St Trinian's cartoonist Ronald Searle dies, Jan 04, 2012

"British cartoonist Ronald Searle, best known for creating the fictional girls' school St Trinian's, has died aged 91.
His daughter Kate Searle said in a statement that he "passed away peacefully in his sleep" in a hospital in France.
Searle's spindly cartoons of the naughty schoolgirls first appeared in 1941, before the idea was adapted for film.
The first movie version, The Belles of St Trinian's, was released in 1954.
Joyce Grenfell and George Cole starred in the film, along with Alastair Sim, who appeared in drag as headmistress Millicent Fritton.
Searle also provided illustrations the Molesworth series, written by Geoffrey Willans."
